Each of us needs elders, sages, teachers of life. Where to look for them? And — perhaps more importantly — how not to confuse a real authority with a shabby media fake?

We live in a world without authorities. Is it? The problem of the present day is not a shortage, but an excess of authorities. Let’s go to the library, museum, cinema. Let’s take a look at the TED conference website. Science fiction congresses, talk shows and party rallies.
Everywhere we will see people who want to share their knowledge, sensitivity and way of looking at the world with us. Social activists, eccentric businessmen, representatives of the arts. The flower of philosophy, psychology and digital transformation. Politicians, journalists, celebrities. Real and fictional characters. Such a great variety of voices, attitudes and talents that you don’t know who to follow and who not to follow.

Don’t worry if there’s no one in your family or close circle who impresses you. You can always pick someone from a movie, book or music scene . It doesn’t matter if that person is alive or dead.
